1.1 Getting Started with the Dashboard

As with any Web site or portal, there are two main phases to using the Dashboard:

  1. Install and configure the Dashboard.

  2. Build and maintain the Dashboard portal.

    When building a dashboard portal, the two primary considerations are users and content:

    • Users: The Dashboard uses the same user accounts as the Operations Center server and users must have permissions in Operations Center to access that information in the Dashboard.

    • Content: Content is distributed to users through personal pages or shared pages. Personal pages belong to a single user only. Shared pages can be accessed by members of a community.
