Log in to the Sentinel Log Manager as an administrator.

Select collection > Advanced.

Click the Download Installer link. in the Collector Manager installer section.

A window is displayed with options to either open or to save the scm_installer.zip file on the local machine. Save the file.

Copy and extract the file to the location where you want to install the Collector Manager.

Run one of the following install files depending on your operating software:

Select a language, then click OK.

The install shield is displayed.

Click OK.

Read and accept the license agreement, then click Next.

You can either proceed with the default installation directory or browse and select the directory, then click Next.

Leave the default Message bus port (61616) unchanged and specify the host name/IP address of the Sentinel Log Manager server.

Click Next to proceed with the default Automatic Memory Configuration (256 Megabytes).

A Summary of the installation is displayed.

Click Install.

Specify the username and password for the Collector Manager.

The username and password is stored in the /etc/opt/novell/sentinel_log_mgr/config/activemqusers.properties file located in the Sentinel Log Manager server.

See the following line in the activemqusers.properties file:

collectormanager=<password>

where collectormanager is the username and the corresponding value is the password.

Accept the certificate permanently when prompted.

Click Finish to complete the installation.

Restart the machine.
