Corporate applications utilized by large audiences typically require a higher level of availability. However, other applications can require a higher level of availability based solely on user type, as in the case of corporate executives, partners, or customers.
Regardless of the need, methods used to achieve higher levels of availability are numerous. Understanding availability requirements, as well as the extent of the required availability, must be identified before implementing a solution. This section discusses the aspects of Operations Center as it relates to availability of the Operations Center server and information required in order to architect a high availability solution.
