In addition to providing product upgrades through a new version of the product, Novell® Operations Center distributes product enhancements and any required updates in patch files.
Patch files are delivered by Technical Support via e‑mail through a designated FTP site, or by CD. Always review the Readme and e‑mail associated with the patch carefully for updated instructions on applying the patch and for any technical considerations.
The instructions related to the patch in this chapter pertain only to patches for version 5.0 and not for any prior versions.
