NetIQ iManager 3.1 SP3 Release Notes

NetIQ iManager 3.1 SP3 resolves previous issues. Many of these improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. We thank you for your time and valuable input. iManager 3.1 SP3 provides the following key features, enhancements, and fixes in this release:

This release adds support for the following components:

Operating System Support

In addition to the platforms introduced in previous releases of iManager, this release adds support for the following operating system:

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 12 SP4

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.6

Resolved Security Vulnerabilities

This release resolves the following security vulnerabilities:

  • CVE-2019-3487: CSS injection vulnerability in iManager prior to 3.1 SP3.

  • CVE-2019-3488: Insecure storage algorithm vulnerability in iManager prior to 3.1 SP3.

iManager Fails to Expand Folder Under View Objects

Issue: iManager fails to expand a folder if it contains accented character in the folder name. (Bug 1091573)

Creating or Deleting Groups Results in High CPU Utilization

Issue: The CPU utilization goes up while creating or deleting groups in the tree object view. (Bug 1105489)

iManager Is Unable to Search for Users Having Umlaut Characters

Issue: The search capability fails for those users having special characters (Umlaut) in their names. (Bug 1010785)

2.0 System Requirements

NOTE:iManager uses the modified version of XULRunner on Windows. The source code for the modified XULRunner is available under the Mozilla Public License version 2.0. If you need further assistance with any issue, contact Technical Support.

3.0 Installing or Upgrading

To upgrade to iManager 3.1 SP3, you need to be on iManager 2.7.7.x or later.

IMPORTANT:This version of iManager supports only eDirectory 9.1 or above when both are installed on the same machine. If you are upgrading iManager 2.7.7.x to 3.1 SP3, ensure that your eDirectory is also upgraded to 9.1 or above before upgrading iManager.

4.0 Known Issues

4.1 Installation of iManager Fails on SLES 15

Issue: The installation of iManager fails on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 (SLES 15).

Workaround: You must install net-tools deprecated package before installing iManager on SLES 15.
