NetIQ provides two ways to install and configure Identity Manager in your environment: an integrated installation solution and installation programs for each component or a group of components. The integrated installation program enables you to install and configure all components, using default values for many of the settings. You can use the integrated installation program to install all components on one computer (Linux only) or in a distributed environment. With the standalone installation programs, you can install one or more of the Identity Manager components separately or customize a large portion of the settings.
