2.2 Considerations for Using the Integrated Installation Program

This section describes the considerations for using the integrated installation program to install all Identity Manager components. Unless otherwise noted here, your servers and workstations must also meet the prerequisites and requirements listed in Section 2.3, Prerequisites and System Requirements.

  • You cannot use the integrated installation process to upgrade an existing installation.

  • You must use a supported version of the Apache Tomcat application server for components such as the User Application. As a convenience, the integrated installation program includes an option to install Tomcat.

  • If you want to install all components on a single computer, it must be a Linux computer. If you are using Windows computers, you must have at least one Linux computer for the Event Auditing Service. The identity applications and the Identity Report Module requires the Event Auditing Service to be installed.
