10.20 Setting a Password in Active Directory also Sets the eDirectory Password Expiration

When you set a password in Active directory, the password synchronizes to the Identity Manager, but also sets the passwordExpirationDate value to current date and time. This causes the password to expire.

To reset the password expiration date, set the password synchronization and do the following:

  1. Select the Password Policy Enforcement button.

  2. Deselect the Reset Password box.

  3. Set the password synchronization option to Always accept the password.
