6.3 Prepopulated Information in the XSLT Style Sheet

When you create a new style sheet in iManager or Designer, it is prepopulated with a style sheet that implements the identity transformation. In the absence of additional templates, the identity transformation allows the input XML document to pass through the style sheet unchanged. You usually implement policy by adding additional templates to act on only the XML that you want to be changed. If your style sheet is being used to translate a document to or from an XML vocabulary that is different than XDS (such as the Input and Output Transformations for the SOAP and Delimited Text drivers) you might need to remove the identity template.
