The Role Mapping Administrator is a Web service that discovers authorizations and permissions that can be granted within your major IT systems.
NOTE:The Role Mapping Administrator is not available with Standard Edition.
To install the Role Mapping Administrator:
Ensure that you have downloaded the necessary Identity Manager files from the Novell Downloads Web site. For more information, see Section 5.0, Where to Get Identity Manager.
Locate the Role Mapping Administrator installation file on the Identity Manager media located here:
Linux: IDM4.0.1_Lin/products/RMA/IDMRMAP.jar
Windows: IDM4.0.1_Win:\products\RMA\IDMRMAP.jar
From a command line, access the Role Mapping Administrator installation directory, then enter java -jar IDMRMAP.jar.
NOTE:For security reasons, you should install the Role Mapping Administrator as a non-root user on Linux platforms.
Enter Yes to accept the license agreement.
Specify the installation directory for the Role Mapping Administrator. The default path is your current location.
Specify the portion of the URL representing the Role Impinging Administrator name. The default value is IDMRMAP.
Specify the HTTP port. The default value is 8081.
Specify a password for the configuration administrator.
The Role Mapping Administrator is now installed. The application is not automatically started after the installation finishes. Use the following scripts from the installation directory to stop and start the application.
Linux: The start script is start.sh and the stop script is stop.sh.
Windows: The start script is start.bat and the stop script is stop.bat.
