IDM Scripting Driver - Patch 4.8.5.1
Overview
This upgrade is applicable for Scripting Drivers deployed with Identity Manager 4.8.x or
later. The Driver version will be changed to 4.8.5.1 after the patch is applied.
System Requirements
- Identity Manager 4.8.x or later
Affected Platforms
- Windows (all supported versions)
- Note: For other platforms, the included installer file is identical to
version 4.8.5.0, so no upgrade is necessary.
Upgrading the Driver
Updating the Linux/Unix Scripting Driver Shim
- Stop the Driver and the Driver Shim instance.
- Linux:
/etc/init.d/usdrvd stop
- Solaris:
/etc/init.d/usdrvd stop
- AIX:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/usdrvd stop
- HP-UX:
/sbin/init.d/usdrvd stop
- Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_Scripting_485_P1.zip file to a temporary location on your computer.
- Navigate to the extracted folder and run the command:
- Linux:
sh linux_x86_64_scriptdriver_install.bin
- Solaris:
sh solaris_x86_64_scriptdriver_install.bin
- AIX:
sh aix_scriptdriver_install.bin
- HP-UX:
sh hpux_ia64_scriptdriver_install.bin
- Follow the prompts to upgrade the existing package.
- Start the Driver Shim instance and the Driver instance.
- Linux:
/etc/init.d/usdrvd start
- Solaris:
/etc/init.d/usdrvd start
- AIX:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/usdrvd start
- HP-UX:
/sbin/init.d/usdrvd start
Updating the Windows Scripting Driver Shim
- Use the Windows Services application to stop the NetIQ Identity Manager Windows Script Driver service, as
well as the Script Driver Script Service, if applicable.
- Download and unzip the contents of
IDM_Scripting_485_P1.zip
to a temporary location on your computer.
- Run the installer
win_x86_64_scriptdriver_install.exe
.
- Follow the prompts to install or upgrade the Driver Shim.
- Use the Windows Services application to start the upgraded NetIQ Identity Manager Windows Script Driver service,
as well as the Script Driver Script Service, if applicable.
