By default, the SAP Portal driver files are installed on the Identity Manager server at the same time as the Identity Manager engine. The installation program extends the Identity Vault’s schema and installs the driver shim and the driver configuration file. It does not create the driver in the Identity Vault (see Section 3.0, Creating a New Driver Object) or upgrade an existing driver’s configuration (see Section 4.0, Upgrading an Existing Driver).
The SAP Portal driver must be located on the same server as the SAP NetWeaver server. If the driver is not on that server, you have the following options:
Install the Identity Manager server (Identity Manager engine and drivers) on the SAP NetWeaver server. See the instructions in Installing and Configuring Identity Manager Components
in the NetIQ Identity Manager Setup Guide for Linux or in Installing Identity Manager Engine
in the NetIQ Identity Manager Setup Guide for Windows.
Install the Remote Loader (required to run the driver on a non-Identity Manager server) and the SAP Portal driver files to the SAP NetWeaver server. This assumes that you already have an Identity Manager server installed on another server in your environment. See the instructions in in Installing and Configuring Identity Manager Components
in the NetIQ Identity Manager Setup Guide for Linux or in Installing Remote Loader
in the NetIQ Identity Manager Setup Guide for Windows.
