Overview
This update is applicable for Linux and Unix drivers running Identity Manager 4.8.x,
or later. The driver version will be changed to 4.8.7.0000 after the patch is applied.

Upgrading the Driver
The driver upgrade process involves updating the driver files.
Updating the Driver Files
- Stop the driver and the Driver Shim instance.
- Linux:
/etc/init.d/nxdrvd stop
- Solaris:
/etc/init.d/nxdrvd stop
- AIX:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/nxdrvd stop
- HP-UX:
/sbin/init.d/nxdrvd stop
- Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_LinuxUnix_4850.zip file to a temporary location on your
computer.
- Navigate to the extracted folder and run the command:
- Linux:
sh linux_x86_64_driver_install.bin
- Solaris:
sh solaris_sparc64_driver_install.bin
- AIX:
sh aix_driver_install.bin
- HP-UX:
sh hpux_ia64_driver_install.bin
- Follow the prompts to upgrade the existing package.
- Start the Driver Shim instance and the Driver instance.
- Linux:
/etc/init.d/nxdrvd start
- Solaris:
/etc/init.d/nxdrvd start
- AIX:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/nxdrvd start
- HP-UX:
/sbin/init.d/nxdrvd start
