Once you have installed and configured the driver software on your Blackboard system, do the following:
Start the driver shim process with this command: /etc/init.d/bbdrvd start
Follow the directions in Section 3.0, Creating a New Driver to set up the corresponding representation of your driver in the Identity Vault.
