This version of the User Application driver (4.8.4.0100) resolves a specific issue that exists with a previous version of Identity Manager containers.
1.0 System RequirementsThis patch requires NetIQ Identity Manager 4.8.4 at a minimum.
Install this driver patch on the Identity Vault server(s).
Note: This patch is optional if your Identity Manager deployment is a non-container based deployment.
2.1 Installing this Patch on a Linux ServerLog in to the Identity Vault server as a root user.
(Conditional) If your Identity Manager deployment is container-based, log in to the Identity Manager Engine container as a nds user.
Stop the User Application driver.
Stop the eDirectory service by running the following command:
ndsmanage stopall
Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_UAD_484_P1.zip file to a temporary location on your computer.
Navigate to the <Driver Patch Directory>/linux/ directory.
Install the netiq-DXMLuad.rpm RPM.
Start the eDirectory service by running the following command:
ndsmanage startall
Start the User Application driver if not already started.
(Conditional) Perform the following steps if you have deployed Identity Manager using containers:
Log in to the OSP container.
Navigate to the /opt/netiq/idm/apps/tomcat/conf/ directory.
Modify the ism-configuration.properties file and add the following lines:
com.netiq.rbpmrest.clientID = rbpmrest
com.netiq.rbpmrest.response-types = password
Save the ism-configuration.properties file.
Restart the OSP container.
Stop the User Application driver.
Stop the eDirectory service.
Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_UAD_484_P1.zip file to a temporary location on your computer.
Navigate to the <Driver Patch Directory>/windows directory.
Copy the ComposerDriverShim.jar file to <Identity Vault installation path>\eDirectory\lib directory.
Start the eDirectory service.
Start the User Application driver if not already started.

Defect 395030: User Application 4.8.4 Driver fails to initialize the oidpInstanceData cleanup function if OSP uses a different port than Identity Applications.
Defect 230616: Error: -699 local trying to sync user objects with large oidpInstanceData attribute value.
