NetIQ Identity Manager Role and Resource Service Driver 4.8.2.1 Release Notes

NetIQ Identity Manager Role and Resource Service Driver 4.8.2.1 release resolves previous issues.


1.0 System Requirements

This patch requires NetIQ Identity Manager 4.8.2 at a minimum.


2.0 Installing This Patch

Install this driver patch on the Identity Vault server(s).

2.1 Installing this Patch on a Linux Server
  1. Log in to the Identity Vault server as a root user.

  2. Stop the User Application and Role and Resource Service drivers.

  3. Stop the eDirectory service by running the following command:

  4. ndsmanage stopall

  5. Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_RRSD_4821.zip file to a temporary location on your computer.

  6. Install the new RPMs by running the following command:

  7. rpm -Uvh <Driver Patch Directory>/linux/netiq-DXMLrrsd.rpm

  8. Start the eDirectory service by running the following command:

  9. ndsmanage startall

  10. Start the User Application and Role and Resource Service drivers if not already started.

2.2 Installing this Patch on a Windows Server
  1. Stop the User Application and Role and Resource Service drivers.

  2. Stop the eDirectory service.

  3. Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_RRSD_4821.zip file to a temporary location on your computer.

  4. Navigate to the extracted folder and copy the nrfdriver.jar file to <Identity Vault installation path>\eDirectory\lib directory.

  5. Start the eDirectory service.

  6. Start the User Application and Role and Resource Service drivers if not already started.

OCTCR28Q231610: Insufficient audit data generated when Roles are assigned to groups, containers or roles. (Bug 1172123)
