This section guides you through the process of installing Designer for Identity Manager. By default, the installation program installs the components in C:\NetIQ.
IMPORTANT:Ensure that the directory name containing the Designer installation program does not include a space. For example, do not name it Designer Install. Instead, it can be DesignerInstall.
You cannot use Designer 2.1x workspaces for Designer 3.0 or later because older workspace versions are not compatible with more recent versions of Designer. Designer stores projects and configuration information in workspaces. For example, on Windows 10 and Windows 7, Designer 4.x workspaces are installed in %UserProfile%\designer_workspace directory by default.
