2.1 Driver Prerequisites

The Multi-Domain Active Directory must be deployed only on a Windows Server (64-bit). You can deploy the driver on a server that supports .NET Remote Loader 64-bit version and Active Directory driver configuration.

Ensure that you have completed the following prerequisites before installing the Multi-Domain Active Directory driver:

Prerequisites for Identity Manager Engine Server

  • Identity Manager 4.6 or later

  • Identity Manager Designer 4.6 or later

  • Managed System Gateway Driver 4.0.2.0 or later

    This driver version contains the necessary software for data collection to work with the Multi-Domain Active Directory driver. You must download it from the Downloads Web site.

Prerequisites for Multi-Domain Active Directory Driver

  • Windows Server 2019 (64-bit), Windows Server 2016 (64-bit), Windows Server 2012 R2 (64-bit) or later, Windows Server 2012 (64-bit), or Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 or later

  • Identity Manager 4.6 (64-bit) .NET Remote Loader or later

    NOTE:Identity Manager 4.7 .NET Remote Loader requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 at a minimum. The .NET Framework is required to be additionally installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit), 2012, and 2012 R2 (64-bit). It is automatically installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2016.

  • Windows Message Queuing feature

  • Microsoft Windows Management Framework 4.0

    NOTE:The Management Framework is required to be additionally installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit). The Management Framework installs Microsoft Windows PowerShell version 4.0 on the Windows server.

NOTE:The domain functional level for the Active Directory driver is supported on all supported Windows Server platforms.

The server hosting the Multi-Domain Active Directory driver must be a member of an Active Directory domain in the target forest.
