45.1 Checklist for Installing Analyzer

Before beginning the installation process, NetIQ recommends that you review the following steps:

Checklist Items

  1. Learn about the interaction among Identity Manager components. For more information, see Section 1.0, Overview of the Components of Identity Manager.

  1. Decide which servers you want to use for your Identity Manager components. For more information, see Section 5.3, Recommended Installation Scenarios and Server Setup.

  1. (Conditional) For computers running a SLES 12 SP1 or later operating system, ensure that you have installed the appropriate set of libraries for a guided installation. For more information, see Section 6.3, Installing Identity Manager on SLES 12 SP1 or Later Servers.

  1. Ensure that your environment meets the considerations and requirements for hosting Analyzer. For more information, see the following sections:

  1. (Optional) To automatically receive and display audit events from Analyzer, install the XDAS client. For more information, see Section 46.4, Installing an Audit Client for Analyzer.
