Starting with Identity Manager 4.9, the support for SecretStore has been deprecated. After you upgrade to the latest UAD package and restart Tomcat, all existing passwords in the SecretStore repository will automatically migrate to the notfSMTPMailPassword attribute. This password migration process is controlled by the com.netiq.idm.migrate.secretstore property, which is available in the ism-configuration.properties file. By default, this property is set to true. After the migration is complete, the property will automatically set back to false and will remain in this state.
While upgrading from 4.9 to 4.10, user will not be prompted to enter master keystore password. It uses the previously stored password from ism-sensitive.properties file. However, while upgrading from 4.7.5 and 4.8.x to 4.10, user is prompted to enter the master keystore password (encrypt-keys.pkcs12). Before upgrading the Identity Applications component from Identity Manager 4.7.5 to 4.10, use the workflow migration tool to export the data from the Identity Applications database (idmuserappdb) to the Workflow Engine database (igaworkflowdb).
