A.0 Data Synchronization Flow

OpenText Identity Manager uses four main components to synchronize data between the Identity Vault and the connected system (external application).

  • The engine that provides the framework.

  • The OpenText Identity Manager policies that control the mapping of attributes and classes and the matching and creation of entries.

  • Event filters that control the direction of data synchronization.

  • The OpenText Identity Manager driver shim that serves as an interface between the application and the engine.

This section contains a brief explanation of the OpenText Identity Manager processes applied to data that flows between OpenText Identity Manager and the connected system.
