Overview

This service pack is applicable for Multi-Domain Active Directory drivers running OpenText™ Identity Manager 4.8.x and above. The driver version will be changed to 1.1.2.0000 after the service pack is applied.

System Requirements

• OpenText Identity Manager 4.8 or later.

Upgrading the Driver Files

The driver upgrade process involves the following tasks:

• Updating the driver files

Note: Make sure to update AD Driver to the latest version (4.1.4.0000) along with this patch. For more information, see the Active Directory Driver 4.1.4.0000 Readme.

1. Take a back-up of the current driver configuration.


2. Stop the driver and the .NET Remote Loader instance.


3. Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_MultiDomain_ADDriver_1.1.2.zip file to a temporary location on your server.


4. Update the driver files:

Navigate to <MultiDomain_ADDriver>\windows in the extracted folder and perform one of the following actions for your OpenText Identity Manager version:

• OpenText Identity Manager 4.8 and above.


1. Copy the MADWrapper.dll and DXMLMADDriver.dll files to the \RemoteLoader.NET\ folder in your OpenText Identity Manager environment.


2. Unblock the .dll files that you copied in the last step.



NOTE: Microsoft applies some security restrictions on the files copied to a Windows server which leaves the files in a blocked state. To unblock the files, right-click each file name and open the file with the Properties page and unblock the file.

5. Start the .NET Remote Loader instance.


6. Start the driver instance.
