6.1 Checklist for Installing Identity Reporting

It is important that you complete the steps in the following checklist.

Checklist Items

  1. Learn about the interaction among Identity Reporting components. For more information, see Understanding Identity Reporting.

  1. Decide which server you want to use for your Identity Reporting components. For more information, see Recommended Installation Scenarios and Server Setup.

  1. Review the considerations for installing Identity Reporting. For more information, see Prerequisites for Identity Reporting.

  1. Review the hardware and software requirements for the computer that will host Identity Reporting. For more information, see Identity Reporting Server System Requirements.

  1. Ensure that the server where you want to install Identity Reporting has the Tomcat application server. For more information, see Section 3.0, Installing Tomcat, PostgreSQL, and ActiveMQ for Identity Governance.

  1. Ensure that you have a database to which the installation process can connect. For more information, see Preparing the Database Environment for Identity Reporting.

  1. (Conditional) To use an Oracle database, ensure that the schema exists for the reporting user. For more information, see Preparing an Oracle Database for Identity Governance and Understanding the Users that the Installation Process Creates.
