You can customize the display settings of Distinguished Name. You can replace the forward slash (/) separator with either a dot (.) or a comma (,). Additionally, you can change the orientation of Distinguished Names (DNs) from bottom to top or from top to bottom for a comprehensive view of the complete object DNs. For example, [leaf to tree node: cn=admin.o=novell.t] or [tree to lead node: t,o=novell,cn=admin] can be displayed accordingly.
NOTE:Dot Notation applies to all the attributes whose syntax is Distinguished Name.
To customize the display preferences:
Log in to OpenText Identity Console.
On the home page, click the username at top right corner, then System Preferences.
On the System Preference page, click Display Preference.
Select a Separator from the drop-down list.
NOTE:Slash(/) is the default object DN view.
Select the preferred Orientation.
According to your preferences, view the object DN in Displayed format.
Top-Down: The object DN begins with the highest-level component (tree) and proceeds downward to the specific entry (leaf node). For example: t,o=novell,cn=admin.
Bottom-Up: The object DN begins with the specific component (leaf node) and proceeds upward to the highest-level component (root). For example: cn=admin.o=novell.t.
Click Save.
