You can use the Email Server Options to specify the settings for your SMTP email server. This server sends notification emails from applications that use the Edit Email templates.
You can authenticate to the server without credentials by unchecking the Authenticate to the server using credentials option, or you can choose from the following two options to authenticate with credentials:

Identity Manager 4.9 and later supports email-based approval through modern authentication. You can configure modern authentication for the email server from the Identity Console portal, starting from version 1.7.2. In previous versions of OpenText Identity Console, you could only authenticate to the server using credentials (basic authentication).
Only admins, users with admin-equivalent rights, or users with the RAC role assigned to the email configuration is allowed to modify or save changes on the Email Configuration page.
