eDirectory Displays an Error Message While Searching for Members In Dynamic Groups

Issue: eDirectory displays an error message while searching for members in a large number of dynamic groups. (Bug 1133654)

Issue: LDAP searches are unable to list Dynamic group members when NDSD_AGENT_CONTEXT_OPTIMIZATION environment variable is set to true. (Bug 1129227)

Compound Indexes Created Prior to eDirectory 9.1.4 Are Non-Functional

Issue: Compound indexes created prior to eDirectory 9.1 SP4 are non-functional. (Bug 1133470)

Fix: After upgrading eDirectory to the latest version, start the eDirectory server and repair the NCP server object by running the following command:

Linux: ndsrepair -J <ncp server object entry id> -Ad -RCI

For example, run ndsrepair –J 0000803A –Ad -RCI on Linux.

Windows: Provide following parameters in DSRepair startup in ndsconsole: -A –SO <ncp server object entry id> –RCI

For example, run -A –SO 0000803A –RCI on Windows.

NOTE:Advanced option -RCI performs a single object repair for the local NCP server and recreates the compound indexes for that particular object. This option should be run for all the NCP servers where compound indexes are available.
