2.8 Installing the Configuration Console Locally

These steps guide you through the optional process of installing the Configuration Console on a local computer. For more information about installing the Configuration Console using ClickOnce deployment, see Starting the Configuration Console the First Time.

NOTE:Installing the Configuration Console locally creates a shortcut in the NetIQ > Aegis program group.

NOTE:If your Workflow Automation web server requires HTTPS then use the Configuration Console to import the web server first and then add the certificate to the enterprise trust store.

To install the Configuration Console locally:

  1. Log on with an Administrator account to the computer where you want to install the Workflow Automation components.

  2. Run the NetIQ Aegis setup program from the root folder of the Workflow Automation installation kit.

    NOTE:Ensure the installation kit is located on the local computer where you are running the setup program.

  3. Click Begin Setup.

  4. On the Select Features window, select Configuration Console (optional local install), and then click Next.

  5. Follow the instructions in the NetIQ Aegis Setup wizard until you finish installing the Configuration Console, and then click Finish.
