3.1 Workflow Automation Administrator Checklist

The Workflow Automation Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining Workflow Automation. The Workflow Automation Administrator might also install Workflow Automation adapters, manage security, and consult with discipline experts.

After installing Workflow Automation, the Workflow Automation Administrator needs to complete certain tasks to prepare Workflow Automation for use. Use the following checklist to help you complete the tasks.

 

Checklist Items

  1. Configure the NetIQ Mail Provider. For more information, see Configuring the NetIQ Mail Provider.

  1. Configure the NetIQ Aegis Adapter for Microsoft Exchange Server. For more information, see Configuring the Exchange Adapter.

  1. Ensure the SQL Server Agent is running. For more information, see Verifying the SQL Server Agent is Running.

  1. Enable or disable HTML code and links in user input forms. For more information, see Enabling or Disabling HTML in User Input Forms.

  1. Register data sources. For more information, see the appropriate Adapter Guide.

  1. Set up Workflow Automation users. For more information, see Managing Users and Groups.

  1. Configure security. For more information, see Managing Permission Assignments.

  1. Set up resources and business services. For more information, see Section 5.0, Managing Resources.
