Prepare each server set for upgrade by completing the following steps:

Dedicate a secondary Administration server to run a previous DRA version as you upgrade a site. For more information, see Dedicating a Local Administration Server to Run a Previous DRA Version. This step is optional. |

Make any necessary changes to the delegation, configuration, or policy settings for this MMS. Use the primary Administration server to modify these settings. |

Synchronize the MMS. For more information, see Synchronizing Your Previous DRA Version Server Set. |

Back up the registry from the primary Administration server. For more information, see Backing Up the Administration Server Registry. |
