23.0 Connecting to an SMTP Server to Send External E-Mail

By default, messages are posted to the Messages view in the Cloud Manager console. If you also want Cloud Manager to route messages to users' external e-mail clients via an SMTP server, you must provide Cloud Manager with the server's connection and authentication information.

  1. In the Cloud Manager console, click Configuration, then click SMTP.

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    Host: Specify the IP address of DNS name of the host running the SMTP: server.

    Server Port: Specify the port on which the SMTP server listens for incoming messages.

    Use Authentication: If the SMTP server requires an authentication username and password, select this option, then specify the username and password.

  3. Click OK.
