9.6 Shutting Down or Rebooting a Node
You can shut down or reboot a node in the cluster if necessary.
NOTE:If you shut down the node in a single node cluster, the administration console becomes inaccessible. You must then use vSphere to power on the node. Similarly, if you reboot the node in a single node cluster, the administration console is inaccessible until the reboot is complete.
To shut down or reboot a node:
-
Log in with an appliance administrator account to the Admin page at https://appliance_dns_name/appliance/index.html.
-
Click the node that you want to shut down or reboot, then click Shutdown/Reboot on the menu.
-
In the confirmation window, click Shutdown or Reboot.
-
(Conditional) Wait for the node to reboot, or use vSphere to power the node back on.
