12.7 Firewalls

For workload templates in an EC2 zone or OpenStack zone, the Firewalls page of the workload template allows you to add or remove firewall bundles that you have configured on the target EC2 account or OpenStack account. You can view the firewall rules for each bundle, including its ingress/egress, port, and protocol settings.

To add firewall bundles for the workload template in EC2 or OpenStack zones:

  1. On the main navigation bar, click Catalog.

  2. On the Workload Templates tab, select the workload template, then click Edit.

    or

    Double-click the template.

  3. Select the Firewalls tab.

  4. Click Add.

  5. In the list of available firewall bundles, select one or more bundles that you want to add to the workload template.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Select a firewall bundle to view the ingress/egress, port, and protocol settings in the Firewall Rules panel.

To remove firewall bundles from the workload template:

  1. On the main navigation bar, click Catalog.

  2. On the Workload Templates tab, select the workload template, then click Edit.

    or

    Double-click the template.

  3. Select the Firewalls tab.

  4. In the list of available firewall bundles, select one or more bundles that you want to add to the workload template.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Select a firewall bundle to view the ingress/egress, port, and protocol settings in the Firewall Rules panel.

To view firewall bundles associated with the workload template:

  1. On the main navigation bar, click Catalog.

  2. On the Workload Templates tab, select the workload template, then click Edit.

    or

    Double-click the template.

  3. Select the Firewalls tab.

  4. Select a firewall bundle to view the ingress/egress, port, and protocol settings in the Firewall Rules panel.
