NetIQ® Change GuardianTM UNIX Agent version 7.3 (UNIX agent) includes new features, improves usability, and resolves several issues. Many of these improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. We thank you for your time and valuable input. Smaller Download Package for Security ProductsThis release includes all the files you need to use the UNIX agent and UNIX Agent Manager with Secure Configuration Manager, Change Guardian, and Security Manager without also downloading the files needed for AppManager. This version of UNIX Agent Manager can manage all products, including AppManager, but if you need to install the UNIX agent in an AppManager environment, download the agent files from the AppManager Suite Product Upgrades page. Improved Integration Between UNIX Agent Manager and Active DirectoryYou can log in to UNIX Agent Manager using Active Directory credentials. For more information about integrating Active Directory or LDAP with UNIX Agent Manager, see the User Guide for your product or the UNIX Agent Manager online Help. Additional Operating System Support for UNIX Agent ManagerUNIX Agent Manager now supports Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Server. For more information about the operating systems that UNIX Agent Manager supports, see System Requirements. UNIX Agent Manager Server Runs as a ServiceUNIX Agent Manager server now runs as a service instead of a process. If you log off after starting the UNIX Agent Manager server, the server will continue to run. Also, UNIX Agent Manager server will automatically restart if the computer restarts while the process is running. Allow UNIX Agent Installation with Patches that Supersede Required PatchesWhen you install the UNIX agent, the installation program verifies that the operating system has any patches that the UNIX agent requires. With this release,
if the installation program does not find a required patch, the program reports a warning and allows you to continue installing. This feature is useful if you install
a patch that supersedes a required patch, and the installation program does not recognize the new patch. Also, if you do not want to use the
