Issue: Configuration of Change Guardian may fail to complete after installation of Change Guardian appliance with the following error message:
Change Guardian configuration has failed. Check /var/opt/novell/sentinel/log/config_cg_onboot.log.
As a result Agent Manager and JAVOS services may fail to start.
Workaround: Perform the following steps to complete the configuration:
Verify if Change Guardian service (8443) is running using the command:
netstat -an | grep "8443" | grep "LISTEN".
(Conditional) If Change Guardian service (8443) is not running, start Change Guardian service (8443) using the following command:
/opt/netiq/cg/scripts/cg_services.sh start.
Login as novell user.
Reconfigure Change Guardian using the following command:
/opt/novell/sentinel/setup/configure_cg.sh.
