Unlike the endpoints for other supported platforms, the Web-based Performance Endpoint is not designed to be installed on a computer. Users of the Web-based endpoint can run it from the Web or save it to a local hard disk, but as soon as they restart or log out of the computer where it is running, the endpoint stops running.
Endpoints for other operating systems run as long as the computers where they are installed are running. The Web-based endpoint stops running as soon as the user logs out or restarts. Nothing has been written to the Windows Registry on the computer where it ran.
