If you try to open an assessment created in a previous version of Vivinet Assessor, you will be asked if you want to upgrade it to the format used by the current version of the product. Because an assessment that has been upgraded to the new format can no longer be read by a previous version of the software, the dialog box advises you to create a backup copy of the assessment. Plus, it is always a good idea to create a backup copy in case the upgrade fails for any reason.
Choose between options for creating a backup copy of the assessment before upgrading it to the new format:
Back up the file, including all results and any errors in the database
Back up the file without preserving any results or errors in the database. This option takes considerably less time and is recommended if you plan to use the assessment Design as a template for creating future assessments.
Check the box to indicate your choice. Click Browse to save the backup copy to a location other than the default location.
When you click OK, Vivinet Assessor creates a backup copy of the assessment, upgrades it to the new format, and opens it for you.
