Use this Knowledge Script to monitor the distributed COM (DCOM) application list. This script raises an event if an application has been added or removed (registered or unregistered) from the application list on the target computer since the last time the script was run.
Windows 2003 Server or later
The default interval for this script is Every 24 hours.
Set the following parameters as needed:

Set to y to collect data for charts and reports. If enabled, data collection returns the number of DCOM applications currently registered. The default is n. |

Event severity when DCOM applications added or removed |
Set the event severity level, from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which applications have been added to or removed from the DCOM application list. The default is 5 (red event indicator). |
