Use this Knowledge Script to monitor the number of days that remain before you are required to activate the system. After you install Windows, you must activate your installation by contacting Microsoft. If you do not activate within a certain number of days, you can no longer log on.
This script raises an event if the number of days remaining falls below the threshold you set.
Windows 2003 Server or later
The default interval for this script is Every 24 hours.
Set the following parameters as needed:

Set to y to collect data for charts and reports. If enabled, data collection returns the number of days remaining before you must activate your system. The default is n. |
Threshold - Minimum days remaining in grace period |
Specify the minimum number of days that must remain before activation of the system is required to prevent an event from being raised. The default is 1 day. |
Event severity when number of days falls below threshold |
Set the event severity level, from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which the number of days remaining before system activation is required falls below the threshold. The default is 5 (red event indicator). |
