Use this Knowledge Script to monitor the length of the following SMTP queues:
Categorizer queue
Local queue
Local Retry queue
Remote queue
Remote Retry queue
This script raises an event if any queue length exceeds the threshold you set.
SMTP folder
The default interval for this script is Every 10 minutes.
Set the following parameters as needed:

Set to y to raise an event if a queue length exceeds the threshold you set. The default is y. |
Collect data? |
Set to y to collect data for charts and reports. If enabled, data collection returns the queue length for each SMTP queue. The default is n. |
SMTP Categorizer queue length |
Specify the maximum number of processes that can be in the SMTP Categorizer queue before an event is raised. The default is 10. |
SMTP Local queue length |
Specify the maximum number of processes that can be in the SMTP Local queue before an event is raised. The default is 10. |
SMTP Local Retry queue length |
Specify the maximum number of processes that can be in the SMTP Local Retry queue before an event is raised. The default is 5. |
SMTP Remote queue length |
Specify the maximum number of processes that can be in the SMTP Remote queue before an event is raised. The default is 10. |
SMTP Remote Retry queue length |
Specify the maximum number of processes that can be in the SMTP Remote Retry queue before an event is raised. The default is 5. |
Event severity |
Set the event severity level, from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which a queue length exceeds the threshold you set. The default is 8 (red event indicator). |
