Use this Knowledge Script to monitor reads and writes per second to the pagefile. This script raises an event if the number of reads and writes per second exceeds the threshold you specify. In addition, this script generates datastreams for the number of read and writes per second.
Windows 2003 Server or later
The default schedule for this script is Every 10 minutes.
Set the following parameters as needed:

Set to y to collect data for charts and reports. When enabled, data collection returns the number of reads and writes per second during the monitoring interval. The default is n. |

Maximum pagefile activity per second threshold |
Specify the maximum number of reads and writes to the pagefile allowed per second before an event is raised. The default is 200. |

Event severity level |
Set the event severity level, from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which the number of reads and writes per second exceeds the threshold. The default is 5 (red event indicator). |
