Use this Knowledge Script to monitor CPU utilization of RAC Node. CPU utilization is measured in percentage.
This Knowledge Script is supported on Oracle 11gR2 and Oracle 12c.
Oracle RAC Node. When you drop a script on an Oracle RAC Node, a job executes on that node and monitors only that node.
The default interval for this script is Every 15 minutes
Set the following parameters as needed:
Description |
How to Set It |
---|---|
General Settings |
|
Cluster(s) to exclude |
Enter the cluster names to exclude with a comma (,) between each cluster name, to exclude the cluster from all jobs. |
RAC Nodes(s) to exclude |
Enter the RAC Node names to exclude with a comma (,) between each Rac Node name, to exclude the RAC Node Name from all jobs. |
Event severity when job fails |
Set the event severity level, from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of the event. The default is 5 (red event indicator). |
Event detail format |
Select one of the following formats in which to view all events:
The default is HTML Table. |

Event Settings |
|
Raise event if CPU utilization in user space exceeds threshold? |
Select Yes to raise an event when CPU utilization in user space exceeds the threshold. The default is unselected. |
Threshold - Maximum CPU utilization in user space |
Specify a maximum threshold for the percentage of CPU utilization in the user space. The default is 80% |

Data Collection |
|
Collect data for… |
Select Yes to collect data for charts and reports. When you enable data collection, and if monitoring of each metric is enabled, the Knowledge Script returns the following statistics for each CPU on which the script is running:
The default for all the parameters except for Collect data for total CPU utilization in percent? is unselected. |
