Use this Knowledge Script to monitor the Critical Error Log for uncorrected critical error entries:
A critical event indicates a failure entry in the Critical Error log.
A degraded condition event indicates that an uncorrected error or degraded operation error has been recorded in the log.
NOTE:For more information about the raised events, check the entries using the Insight Manager Console.
Critical Error Log object
The default interval for this script is Every 10 minutes.
Set the following parameters as needed:

Specify the SNMP community string. The default is either the community name specified in AppManager Security Manager or public if no community name has been specified. |
Severity - SNMP or CIM failure |
Set the event severity level from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which SNMP or HP SIM fails. The default is 9. |
Severity - Failure entry |
Set the event severity level from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which a failure entry is recorded in the log. The default is 5. |
Severity - Degraded condition entry |
Set the event severity level from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which an uncorrected error or degraded operation error has been recorded in the log. The default is 12. |
Severity - Unknown status |
Set the event severity level from 1 to 40, to indicate the importance of an event in which a status of unknown is recorded in the log. The default is 15. |
