Patch management allows you to install patch or patches, uninstall a patch, and view patch history.
To install patch
Go to PATCH > INSTALL PATCH
Click the Upload Patch icon on the left hand side.
Select the patch from your machine and upload in the WAM server.
Select the patch or patches from the list by clicking.
Select the host, in which the patches are to be installed.
Click the INSTALL PATCH button.
On selecting multiple patches, a dialog box appears asking you to reorder the patches, click OK.
A CONFIRMATION dialog box appears. Click AGREE to start the patch installation.
To see the progress of patch installation, go to MANAGE HOSTS > TASKS. Click view corresponding to the hostname. A right-sided pane appears showing the details of patch installation.
To unistall patch:
Go to PATCH > UNINSTALL PATCH
Select the patch by clicking.
Select the hosts, in which you want to uninstall the patch.
Click UNINSTALL PATCH button to proceed.
A CONFIRMATION dialog box appear. Click AGREE to start patch uninstallation.
To see the progress of patch uninstallation, go to MANAGE HOSTS > TASKS.. Click view corresponding to the hostname. A right-sided pane appears showing details of patch uninstallation.
In case of failure, you can use the "Forceful" dropdown option from the UNINSTALL button to remove the patch forcefully
Patch history gives you the details of the patches that you have applied, removed, or rejected from a host.
To see patch history:
Go to PATCH > PATCH HISTORY
Double click on the host, a right pane appears which shows the patch history.
