This activity pack improves usability and resolves several previous issues.

Many of these improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. We thank you for your time and valuable input. We hope you continue to help us ensure our products meet all your needs. You can post feedback in the Aegis forum.

What's New?

This activity pack installs the new Send SNMP Trap activity. The Send SNMP Trap activity allows you to send event data or workflow information to another system using the SNMP format.

Installing This Activity Pack

Complete the following steps to install this activity pack.

If the computer is part of a cluster, you must install this activity pack on each passive node first, and then on the active node.

To install this activity pack:

  1. Log on to the Aegis Server computer with a local administrator account.
  2. Copy the Aegis_SNMP_ActivityPack_1.0.exe file to the Aegis Server computer. If you run the Aegis_SNMP_ActivityPack_1.0.exe file from a network location, the activity pack might modify affected files to have an 8.3 file name.
  3. Run the Aegis_SNMP_ActivityPack_1.0.exe file.
  4. Follow the instructions in the wizard until you have finished installing the activity pack.
  5. If the computer is part of a cluster, repeat Steps 1 through 4 on the remaining nodes in the cluster.
  6. Restart any open instances of the consoles.

The activity pack installation program automatically restarts all Aegis services.

Verifying the Installation

Complete the following steps to verify that the activity pack installation was successful.

To check the installed hotfix version:

  1. Log on to the Aegis Configuration Console.
  2. On the Ribbon, click About.
  3. Under Installed Hotfixes, ensure you see SNMPActivityPack1.0.
