Issue: A black login screen is displayed when users try to log in to a Windows 7 laptop or workstation that is connected to a docking station. No authentication prompt is displayed.
Workaround: Perform the following steps:
Open the configuration file C:\ProgramData\NetIQ\Windows Client\config.properties.
Add gfx_layer:1.
Save the config.properties file and restart the Windows operating system.
However, when you set gfx layer:1, there could be a considerable lag while typing on the login screen where the resolution is high.
