10.7.3 Configuring Geolocation Profiling

To use the Geolocation rule, you are required to set up an external geolocation service provider. For example, you can use Neustar or MaxMind.

  1. Click Policies > Risk-based Policies > Geolocation.

  2. Select Enable Location Profiling to fetch the location data from the configured geolocation database. This data helps in identifying the location of a user based on the IP address.

  3. Configure the provider based on your requirement as follows:

    To configure Neustar:

    1. Select Neustar Service in Geolocation Provider.

    2. Specify the API Key and API Secret.

    3. Specify the Web Service URL.

    To configure a custom provider:

    For example, you can configure MaxMind GeoIP. For more information about MaxMind, see MaxMind Support Center.

    1. Select Custom Provider in Geolocation Provider.

    2. Specify a name in Provider Name.

    3. Specify the fully qualified name of the JAVA class. For example, com.company.test.MyCustomClass

    4. Click Add Property to add properties to the custom class as required.
