The Access Manager Appliance 4.1 Service Pack 1 Hotfix 1 (4.1.1 HF1) supersedes Access Manager Appliance 4.1 Service Pack 1 (4.1.1).

On Linux:
There are no manual steps required to update the version of Java. After upgrading, the Java version is 1.8.0_51.
On Windows:
To upgrade the Java version, perform the following steps:
Traverse to the C:/Program Files (x86)/Novell/update/HF1 folder.
Open the jre_update_readme.txt file and follow the instructions to manually update Java.
The following issue is fixed in the Administration Console component:
Issue: In a clustered environment, when one node restarts, the customized files listed under Access Manager > Code Promotion > Settings are replaced with the default files. This results in loss of customizations. This occurs when only few nodes have customizations while the others use the default files. [Bug 935061]
Fix: This issue is resolved now and the customizations are retained.
IMPORTANT:Ensure that you are currently on Access Manager 4.1.1 before upgrading to Access Manager 4.1.1 HF1.
To upgrade Access Manager Appliance 4.1.1 HF1, perform the following steps:
Go to NetIQ Downloads Page.
Under Patches, click Search Patches.
Specify AM_4111.zip in the search box and download the file.
Save the hotfix file to the server running Access Manager. If you have multiple servers in your set up, ensure that you copy this .zip file to all the servers.
Extract the patch file by using the unzip <patch name>.zip command, where <patch filename> is the name of the patch file, for example, AM_4111.zip. Run the sh installPatch.sh command. This command installs the patch and the bundled binaries.
After upgrading to Access Manager 4.1.1 HF1, verify that the version number of the component is indicated as 4.1.1.1-9. To verify the version number, perform the following steps:
In the Administration Console, click Access Manager > Auditing > Troubleshooting > Version.
Verify that the Version field lists 4.1.1.1-9.
