NetIQ AppManager for VMware Recognized for Excellence with 2009 Reader’s Choice Award from Redmond Magazine
Redmond magazine today announced that NetIQ AppManager® for VMware is a winner in the Redmond Reader's Choice Awards.
–Redmond magazine today announced that NetIQ AppManager® for VMware is a winner in the Redmond Reader's Choice Awards. The 2009 Winner and Preferred Product awards are presented to vendors in more than 50 different categories of products, ranging from spam filtering and network management to security auditing and disaster recovery solutions.
The Redmond Reader's Choice Awards are truly the voice of the audience. First, the Reader's Choice online survey form is sent out to thousands of readers. Responses are collected during a two-week period, and after gathering all the results, a team of editors examines the rankings looking for any unusual patterns. Once they're satisfied that the list is a clean and accurate representation of Redmond's readers' true favorites, they post the results.
"This year, we greatly increased the breadth and depth of our categories and product candidates to reflect new technologies and the growing number of choices in the technology industry," says Lee Pender, executive editor of Redmond, who coordinated the 2009 awards process. "Once again, our readers spoke loudly and clearly in making their choices. We had a total number of responses that was much greater than last year's, which is an indication of the passion readers have for these products and the importance that these technologies holds in their jobs every day."
"Being recognized by the readers of Redmond magazine as the winner of the Virtual Management and Optimization category is a true accomplishment for NetIQ AppManager for VMware," said Criss Scruggs, senior manager of Product Marketing at NetIQ. "Virtualization presents IT managers and administrators with evolving management challenges, and customers look to NetIQ to help derive and demonstrate the value of this complex technology. Receiving this award from readers, who are the individuals in the trenches, serves to validate the comprehensive management that we deliver to the hybrid virtual-physical environment."
