What: | Geoff Webb, senior manager of Product Marketing at NetIQ, will discuss "Rapid Cyber Attack Detection and Response Through Security Process Automation" at the upcoming West Coast Security Forum 2008.
During his presentation, Webb will illustrate the benefits of incorporating IT Process Automation (ITPA) into traditional security and compliance practices. By automating the mundane, repetitive security tasks that take staff time and resources away from higher-value activities, organizations are better positioned to decrease costs as well as increase efficiencies around security and compliance programs, without sacrificing service quality or introducing enterprise risk. Webb will outline the types of processes IT departments need to address in order to get the most rapid return on security investment, and first steps to take when considering how to implement automated security event handling. Additionally, he will provide guidance on how to most effectively integrate security process automation with existing technology investments to align IT objectives with organizations' broader business goals. |
