NetIQ Expands Relationship with Unisys to Provide Customers with Service Level Management Solutions
New Offerings Add Performance, Availability and Security Tools to Unisys Intelligent Infrastructure Solutions
SAN JOSE, CA
NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of integrated systems and security management solutions, today announced that it has extended an agreement with Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS) to increase the range of NetIQ Systems and Security software that Unisys can offer customers of its ES7000 servers.
NetIQ® AppManager® Suite has been an integral component of Unisys' industry leading server management software suite -- Unisys Server Sentinel -- for more than five years. Under the new agreement, Unisys will license the NetIQ® AppManager Suite, NetIQ® Vulnerability Manager™ and NetIQ® Security Manager™ products, all of which are key components of NetIQ's Knowledge-Based Service Assurance Strategy.
The additional NetIQ solutions will enable Unisys to provide its ES7000 server customers with as many as eight "full solution" software bundles integrated within Unisys Server Sentinel. The integrated software suites provided by Unisys are designed to enhance server performance, availability and security for clients that are building intelligent infrastructures. Unisys will market these solutions as Service Level Management bundles. Initial offerings include Service Level Management for SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, Siebel, Web (Microsoft IIS), Vulnerability Management, and for Security Intrusion, Log and Correlation Management.
